Organisation description: Lord’s Taverners is a UK-based charity founded in 1950 that works to empower young people facing inequality, particularly those with disabilities and from disadvantaged communities. The organisation delivers inclusive cricket programmes such as Wicketz (community cricket for ages 8–19), Super 1s (competitive cricket for disabled young people aged 12–25), and Table Cricket (adapted cricket for SEND schools). These initiatives aim to improve physical activity, confidence, life skills, and social inclusion. Lord’s Taverners also provides specialist equipment, minibuses, and supports SEND schools to ensure accessibility. Guided by values of inclusion, empowerment, and inspiration, the charity collaborates nationally to create positive outcomes, raise aspirations, and promote equality through sport.
