Close Knit Friends

Who do you work with?: Older people, Voluntary and community groups, Volunteers, Women, Disabled people (all)
Organisation description: We are the ‘’Close Knit Friends’’ group meet once a week for three hours at the Boothstown Community Centre. Participants from all ability atc young girls peoples on wheel chair. Our aim to provide a safe environment for members of the community to come together to learn new skills, meet new friends, improve connectivity and reduce social isolation. Opportunities are provided to support local charities such as making warm items of knit for the homeless.
The group share skills to knit many items. The purpose of this funding is to provide local women with emotional problems with an outlet through creativity which will come in the form of various activities such as learning to knitting various items both simple and complex.
