Organisation description: Categories of Work: Assistance with carpentry, ground clearance, plumbing and general building skills always welcomed. Community services and/or facilities. Corporate Payback Volunteer Hours. Location: Weaste Allotments, Salford, M6 8DZ
Who do you work with?: Businesses and residents of Salford. Health and well-being agencies.
Organisation description: We are an allotment and gardening association with over 100 allotment plots of various sizes and 150+ members, who must live in the City of Salford, irrespective of age, sexuality, gender, race, colour, ethnic or national origin, ability, political or religious belief .
We provide the following facility's to our members:
Member's Hut (which needs work on making air and water-tight)
Communal Orchard (which needs support to maintain it's health)
Toilet Facility's (which need up-grading, better hand-washing facilities and possibly replacing with compostable facilities)
We have a Allotment Shop (run on a not for profit basis) that sells gardening and allotment related supplies to plot holders and people in the local community.
