Organisation description: Northwest UK Chinese Culture CIC is a community interest company dedicated to promoting Chinese culture, language, and arts across the Northwest region of the UK. Our mission is to foster cross-cultural understanding and build meaningful connections between the UK and China through educational, creative, and community-led initiatives.
Since 2022, our team has been active in schools and community spaces, delivering engaging cultural activities such as Chinese language classes (Mandarin and Cantonese), Xiangqi (Chinese chess), traditional dance, calligraphy, cooking workshops, and cultural festivals including Lunar New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival.
Incorporated as a CIC in January 2025, we operate as a non-profit, volunteer-led organisation. All directors and core team members are local residents committed to enriching community life through cultural exchange. We actively work with local schools, educators, families, and both Chinese and non-Chinese communities across the region.

Other support description: We also support faith-based organisations, grassroots cultural groups, social enterprises, youth-led initiatives, and migrant and refugee community groups. Our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of underrepresented or emerging community voices, especially those led by volunteers or working in disadvantaged areas
