Organisation description: The Royal Naval Association City of Salford branch is a welcoming community that supports veterans and those connected to the Armed Forces. It is open not only to former and serving members of the Royal Navy, but also to veterans of the Royal Marines, Army, Royal Air Force, Merchant Navy, their families, and anyone who supports the Armed Forces.
The branch works to reduce social isolation by bringing people together through regular meetings held both in person and online, as well as day trips and weekends away. It provides access to a trained welfare representative who can offer guidance, support, and signposting to further help when needed. In addition, the branch plays an important role in honouring service by supporting members and their families during bereavement, including attending and assisting with funerals.
