Organisation description: Paddlers for Life Manchester, also known as Manchester Dragoneers, is a charity that supports people affected by cancer, particularly breast cancer, and their families. It promotes physical and emotional wellbeing through dragon boat paddling, a gentle exercise that aids recovery and helps manage conditions such as lymphoedema. The group offers a friendly, non-competitive environment where members can build strength, confidence, and social connections. Based at Debdale Outdoor Centre in Manchester, it serves the wider Greater Manchester area and organises regular paddling sessions, social activities, and participation in national and international events, creating a strong community of support and encouragement.
