10 week creative careers programme offered by Salford’s Cultural Education Partnership (SCEP), in partnership with SCC Work & Skills
This 10 week programme is a one day a week offer for NEET young people to visit a range of Creative and Cultural orgs in the city to have hands on practical experience, learning about Creative skills, jobs and careers.
They will spend a day at each of these organisations:
- BBC on a live filming of Blue Peter & with 6 Music
- Lowry to learn about Theatre & Visual Art careers
- Salford Museum & Art Gallery to learn about curation & heritage careers
- Walk the Plank to experience how large-scale outdoor art and spectacle is made
And what’s more….
Young people will be paid £100 if they attend 90% of the 10 week course.
All transport is supported either as taxi’s or reimbursing public transport.
Lunch will also be paid for each day.
At all times the group will be accompanied by two DBS checked youth workers who will be with them every day of the 10 weeks to support them at each venue visit.
