Health and Wellbeing Policy Context

Policy Context

The Health and Wellbeing landscape across the country has change dramatically with many regional and local support organisations now decommissioned over the past 3 years. Change has brought many new ways of operating and the emphasis is on the development of structures and support at a local level. This is presently supported and driven by the policy emphasis of national government who believe local situations are best managed locally.

New Landscape

National Change

Public Health England, Monitor, Care Quality Commission, HealthWatch England, In-Control, Putting People First

Regional Change

Regional Voices, Voluntary Sector North West, Public Health England

Local Change

HeathWatch, Health and Wellbeing Boards, Joint Strategic Needs Assessment, Public Health, Personalisation, Commissioning Hubs, Clinical Commissioning Groups, Integrated Care Programmes

Below are documents which relate to the policy changes made and support the context of the new and ongoing developments in Health, Wellbeing and Social Care.
