African Family Support ( African Families Support )

Categories of Work: Befriending, Community services and/or facilities, Education/training, Health and well-being, Translating and/or interpreting
Who do you work with?: Asylum seekers and/or refugees, Black and Ethnic Minority, Families and/or parents, Women, Young people (aged 16-19)
Organisation description: - Relieve poverty, sickness and distress amongst migrant mothers with families residing in the UK with English language barrier
- Bring different Families together and sharing experiences, tackling common issues that affecting our families life in field of: Education, Training, Health, Jobs, awareness, Environment by the provision of advice and up-to-date translated information
- Advance the education of the families on health and wellbeing matters and thereby promote the preservation of our Environment and family’s health;
- Provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure-time activities, particularly amongst migrant families who are part of disadvantage
community in the interests of social welfare and with the aim of improving the quality of life for the said beneficiaries;
- Re-education of African young people leaving care for better future life
