Organisation description: We are a registered Ethiopian Orthodox Christian church based in Salford, serving the spiritual, cultural, and social needs of the Ethiopian and wider East African community, including Eritrean refugees and asylum seekers. Our core activities include weekly liturgical worship, gospel preaching, christenings, and marriage ceremonies. We are also committed to promoting the history, heritage, and teachings of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (EOTC) to other nations and communities.
In addition, we provide faith-based education, pastoral support, youth and family engagement, and practical assistance to refugees and newly arrived migrants. As a volunteer-led organisation, we foster community cohesion, reduce social isolation, and support the wellbeing of our members through culturally rooted and inclusive services. We primarily serve the Greater Manchester area, with a strong presence in both Manchester and Salford.
