Salford CVS is proud to support Stronger Together for Inter Faith Week, a week of action taking place from 8th -15th November and coordinated by Together With Refugees in partnership with Inter Faith Week.
The week highlights the power of friendship, connection and understanding across faiths and communities, and celebrates the positive relationships that help build stronger, more inclusive places for everyone.
As an organisation that works alongside voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations across Salford, Salford CVS recognises the vital role that diverse communities play in creating welcoming neighbourhoods where people can connect, contribute and thrive.
Nicola Spiby-Roberts, at Salford CVS, said:
"At Salford CVS, we see every day how communities grow stronger when people come together, build relationships and support one another. The Great Get Together in Salford showed the power of connection through creativity. Whether people were making cards, creating flowers, sharing lunch or simply chatting with someone new, meaningful connections were being formed throughout the day. At Salford CVS, we believe that these moments matter. They help break down barriers, build understanding and create the sense of belonging that lies at the heart of strong communities. As we mark Inter Faith Week, we're proud to celebrate the friendships, kindness and shared humanity that remind us, as Jo Cox said, that we have more in common than that which divides us."

Jehangir Malik, Executive Director of Together With Refugees, said:
"Stories of division, hostility to refugees and scenes of far-right marches have dominated recent headlines. But we know these aren't the reality for communities across the country. That's why we're celebrating the connections, unity and friendships made when we welcome refugees - because there is more that unites us than divides us."
The UK-wide week of action is coordinated by Together With Refugees in partnership with Inter Faith Week. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the connections made across faiths and communities when local people join with refugees to form friendships, volunteer their time, stand up for fairness and support those seeking safety.
