Salford Pride announces date for its 2026 celebrations

Salford Pride has today announced that The Pink Picnic, Greater Manchester’s largest voluntary-led LGBTQ+ pride event, will return to Peel Park next year for its 15th year on Saturday 13th June 2026, with tickets available to purchase from today (Friday 31st October).

The Pink Picnic is Salford’s annual LGBTQ+ pride celebration - a vibrant, family-friendly celebration that brings the community together for a day of live music, performances, expo stalls, market vendors, food and drink, and a whole lot of love. Organised by the charity Salford Pride, the event champions equality, diversity and inclusion while celebrating Salford’s LGBTQ+ community and allies. What began as a small gathering in Peel Park 15 years ago has grown into one of the North West’s most loved Pride events, welcoming thousands of visitors each year to enjoy a joyful, safe and inclusive space for everyone.

Last year’s Pink Picnic was attended by over 6,500 community members and allies, and 2026 is projected to be bigger than ever with an expected 8,000+ turnout.

Marcus Taylor, Chair of Salford Pride, said: “We are so proud to be celebrating our fifteenth anniversary in 2026 and we’ll be throwing our biggest event to date to celebrate!

“The Pink Picnic is a community event that is organised and delivered entirely by a group of dedicated Salford Pride volunteers and without them, there’d be no event so I just want to extend a massive thank you to every single person who has volunteered with us over the past 15 years.”

Early-bird tickets are available to purchase from www.pinkpicnic.org.uk and prices start at £5 + booking fee. Every single penny that is generated from ticket sales goes directly into putting on The Pink Picnic. Please note that the booking fee is platform-based and not charged or received by Salford Pride.
