Development Worker (Violence Reduction)
Salary: NJC Point 23 - £34,434 per annum full-time equivalent (actual £17,217)
Hours: 18.75 hrs per week
Contract: 1-year fixed-term contract, subject to the successful completion of a 3-month probationary period
Do you believe communities are central to preventing violence and creating safer neighbourhoods? Salford CVS is looking for a Development Worker (Violence Reduction) to support a community-led programme in Little Hulton, working alongside young people, residents and local organisations to identify priorities, shape solutions and drive positive change.
You'll build relationships, facilitate community engagement and co-design activities, amplify youth and community voices, and help local partners deliver initiatives that address the root causes of violence. Main purposes of the post
To support the delivery of the community-led violence reduction programme in Salford, working with young people, communities and VCSE partners in Little Hulton.
The Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit worked with 10GM, other VCSE providers and local communities to co-design our approach to a community-led violence reduction programme. The programme is one of the Violence Reduction Unit’s flagship projects across Greater Manchester and is in line with the ambitions of the Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Strategy and Public Service Reform programme to involve communities to identify priorities, problem solve and direct investment and interventions accordingly. In Salford, the programme will be delivered within Little Hulton.

Research and Insight Worker
Salary: NJC Point 23 - £34,434 per annum full-time equivalent (actual £20,660.40)
Hours: 22.5 hrs per week
Contract: 1-year fixed-term contract, subject to the successful completion of a 3-month probationary period
Passionate about using research to make a real difference? Salford CVS is looking for a Research and Insight Worker to help deliver impactful research projects that amplify the voices of local communities and the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector across Salford and Greater Manchester.
You'll gather and analyse data, work directly with community groups and VCSE organisations, and turn insight into high-quality reports that influence decision-making and drive positive change. If you're an organised, confident communicator who enjoys working with people and is motivated by social impact, we'd love to hear from you.
Main purposes of the post
To deliver Salford CVS’s research and insight work, which includes the collection and analysis of data and producing timely written reports of the findings. This exciting Research and Insight role involves a combination of VCSE engagement and community insight work across Salford and in Greater Manchester.

Strategic Support Officer
Salary: NJC Salary Grade 16 - £30,518 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week (excluding breaks)
Days: Monday to Friday (core hours are worked between 8am – 6pm)
Contract: Initial 12-month fixed-term contract, subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period
Main purposes of the post
To provide proactive and effective support to the Chief Executive Officer and Strategic Leads in the delivery of Salford CVS’s strategic work, ensuring the smooth running of strategic meetings, forums and events. The postholder will help enable the voice and influence of the VCSE sector, facilitate two-way communication between the sector and strategic partners, and produce timely, accurate briefings, content and monitoring that tell the story of our strategic work and the impact it is making.

Grants Development Worker
Salary: NJC Point 23 - £34,434 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week (excluding a 30-minute break each day)
Days: Monday to Friday (core hours are worked between 8am – 6pm)
Contract: Full time, 12-month contract (possibility of extension subject to funding)
Main purposes of the post
To support the development, promotion and delivery of Salford CVS’ VCSE-focused grants programme; to support monitoring, evaluation and reporting on grant-funded projects; and to support the promotion and celebration of the impact and achievements of grant-funded projects.
