Volunteer Opportunities

Headway provides a day service every Thursday to people who have experienced brain injury. Members attend each week and benefit from peer support and information and support from the Community Development Officer. Weekly activities include puzzles, some of which are solved jointly, pool, colouring, etc and we organise sessions in a range of activities including cooking demonstrations, exercise, and guest speakers. We also organise outings to various places of interest. Volunteers will help members to take part in activities and outings which can assist with rehabilitation and provide the opportunity to socialise with other members of the group whilst taking part in an enjoyable activity. Personal care is not provided as part of the Headway service.
