We want as many people as possible to know about the availability of Alternative to Violence Workshops taking place in the Northwest and increase the diversity of those engaging with us.The 16 hour workshop model used by AVP is recognised nationally and internationally as being an effective resource in supporting people make positive changes in their lives. those who come to the workshops we run in the Northwest consistently rate a very high level of satisfaction following their participation.

What’s involved:
• Scheduling regular social media updates (currently Facebook and Twitter)
• Interacting with interested people on social media and creating community
• Creating digital publicity resources and writing web content
• Monitoring engagement and reach over social media

What type of activity will volunteers be doing?: Administration, Community Work, Computers Technology and Website Design, Events, Marketing PR and Media
Where is the opportunity based?: Greater Manchester
Volunteering location accessbility: Clearly marked accessible parking spaces, Step free access clearly signposted into the building, Lift to other floors / step free access throughout the building, Accessible toilets

1. To be able to plan and take initiatives in promoting the work of AVP Northwest.
2. To be familiar and able to use online and social media resources
3. To be willing to work under the direction of the northwest regional coordinator or other appropriate member of AVP.
