Volunteer Opportunities

The Working Class Movement Library is a radical library founded by working class activists, Ruth and Eddie Frow. We provide access to our collections and events to encourage working people to learn from and interpret their history. We are a charitable trust and work with the support of volunteers to help us to achieve our mission. Our library and archive collection includes books, pamphlets, posters, photographs, banners and other memorabilia that tell the story of working class struggle and campaigning.
We have an active volunteer programme, with volunteers helping with the collection, events, digitization, tours and the library garden. We are looking for new volunteers to help make our collection, our building and our activities more accessible.
We plan to increase the hours that the library is open to the public and re-engage people with our building and displays. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who can help bring the library to life by delivering tours to visitors and groups and to welcome visitors to the library. Tours will allow visitors to learn more about the many objects we have on display, the building itself and our founders, Ruth and Eddie Frow and their motivations for founding the library.
