Volunteer Opportunities

This is an exciting opportunity to educate primary pupils about climate change and support them in making manageable and sustainable changes that will help them to fight global warming. You'll receive training and then deliver 5 hour-long sessions in schools plus a follow-up session some time later to see what a difference your work has made.
This grid shows when you can volunteer for this opportunity.

It's important to develop enough of an understanding of basic climate change science to be confident enough to deliver the programme to a class of up to 30 children. You will receive training for this and the materials are fully prepared. You'll have a teacher with you, but will be taking a lead. It is great experience for anyone who is considering a career in education but would also help anyone to develop their public speaking skills.
Characteristics we are looking for:
An interest in climate change.
A passion for sharing your knowledge with others.
The ability to engage children and answer their questions.
A drive to motivate the next generation to take action and build themselves a bright future.
We require volunteers to be aged 18 or over. Climate Ed has a robust safeguarding policy and all volunteers are thoroughly vetted and require a DBS check.
