Opportunity hosted by: Home Start Trafford Salford and Wigan
Description:

Give Children the Childhood They Deserve – Become a Home-Start Volunteer
Childhood is precious. By joining our volunteer team, you’ll help give children across Trafford, Salford, and Wigan the safe, happy start in life they deserve.
As a Home-Start home-visiting volunteer, you’ll support families with young children who are going through challenging times. You don’t need special qualifications — just compassion, a few hours a week, and a desire to make a difference.
Our hybrid training course is designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to support families effectively. It includes:
• 6 online modules – complete in your own time, at your own pace
• 2 face-to-face training days – build connections and learn in a supportive environment
The course has two aims:
• To prepare you for anything you may encounter as a volunteer
• To help our co-ordinators get to know you, so they can match you with the right family
