Volunteer Opportunities
As a Volunteer Youth Worker, you will be engaging with our members as soon as they walk through the door, whether that be through leading topic tables or creating activities to encourage team building, confidence and conversations. Flexibility and imagination are key to this role!
- Creating a safe, welcoming and fun environment for our members to enter
- Facilitating team building games
- Being creative with games, tasks and topic tables to encourage conversations
- Building positive relationships with young people across the youth zone
- Working collaboratively with other members of staff and volunteers to support the delivery of sessions
- Supporting young people with additional needs
- Acting as a positive role model for young people
- Promoting an inclusive culture where all young people are listened to, valued and cared for.

We're looking for someone who:
- Has an interest or experience in youth work would be great but if not, a willingness to learn and passion to get involved
- Enjoys meeting and engaging with people from a wide range of backgrounds
- Is organised and efficient
- Shares the same values of Salford Youth Zone
- Is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
