Grit Street Aid is a small, Salford-based charity providing roadside support and practical assistance to people experiencing homelessness across Greater Manchester. We're a passionate, hands-on team, and we're looking for organised and friendly volunteers to help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

đŸ–„ïž The Role

We’re currently looking for two Volunteer Office Assistants to join us at our shared office space on Cross Street (inside the Unitarian Chapel). You’ll be helping with a variety of admin tasks that support our frontline work—making a real difference to the lives of people in need.

You’ll have access to a laptop and printer, and you can choose your hours—anytime between 9am and 5pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Typical tasks include:

- Answering phone calls and handling basic enquiries

- Managing schedules and booking appointments

- Organising digital and paper files

- Supporting with data entry, document prep, and correspondence

- Acting as a friendly first point of contact for visitors
