Description:

START'S mission is to promote emotional well-being and recovery by providing creative arts-based activities and training opportunities for people who are, or may be at risk of experiencing mental health difficulties or social exclusion.
Tasks:
• To assist the tutor with the preparation of studio before session
• To engage, motivate and encourage members during the session
• To assist the tutor and members at the end of session to tidy up, ensuring good studio practice is applied
• To support the tutor and members on any gallery trips or visits that the group may make
• To feedback any concerns that you might have about individual members to the Member and volunteer support coordinator or the tutor
Skills/experience:
• Have a genuine interest in volunteering to help others
• An ability to share knowledge and interest
• A desire to help the tutor and learn from their experience
• A desire to learn new skills and improve old ones
• A dedication to helping the START project
