Volunteer Opportunities
Why This Role Matters
We’re looking for kind and enthusiastic volunteers to become support tutors for Year 7 students as they settle into secondary school. You’ll help them grow in confidence with English, Maths, and Science, build good study habits, and enjoy learning in a friendly, supportive setting.
How You’ll Make a Difference
• Support small groups of Year 7 learners on Saturdays, with optional short online check-ins.
• Help students strengthen reading, writing, numeracy, problem-solving, and KS3 science skills.
• Encourage good homework routines, use of planners, and revision habits.
• Keep simple attendance and progress notes.
• Create a warm, inclusive environment where every learner feels safe and encouraged.
• Share updates with the Programme Lead about how students are getting on.
How to Get Involved
Send a short note about yourself or your experience to info@younglifevision.co.uk with the subject: “Year 7 Volunteer Tutor – Application.”
Please include your availability and let us know if you’d like to help with the optional mid-week online session.
We’d also be very happy to have an informal chat if you’d like to learn more about us, the role, or how you might be able to get involved. Just drop us an email, and we’ll arrange a convenient time to talk.
