Volunteer Opportunities
Looking for a rewarding opportunity to support young people in your community whilst developing your own skills and experience? ReachOut is a national mentoring and youth development charity. We build socio-emotional skills that transform outcomes for 9-14 year olds constrained by circumstance.
Volunteering as a mentor in a local school provides the rewarding experience to help build your mentees' skills and confidence, whilst working with a team of like-minded people and developing your own skills and experience in youth development! Choose a project in a local school that fits your schedule and give just 2 hours a week of your time over our 12-week projects to make a real difference to a young person's life.

Through mentoring at ReachOut, you'll support young people (aged 9-14) to develop key socio-emotional skills, contributing to their success at school and happiness in life. You'll receive full training and support throughout your time with us.
At ReachOut, our behaviours are being committed, compassionate, solution-focused and ambitious. These are particularly important behaviours for our mentors to display as role models to our young people!
Whilst helping your mentees to develop their skills, you'll develop your own skills & experience such as:
Communication skills
Teamwork
Leadership
Initiative
Problem-solving
Confidence
