Volunteer Opportunities

Whether you're looking to build your confidence, meet new people, give back to your community or gain experience to support future opportunities, volunteering with us offers a flexible and rewarding way to get involved.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, including people who are working, studying, retired, looking for employment, taking a career break, or simply wanting to become more connected to their local community. With opportunities requiring around four hours per week and flexibility around other commitments, volunteering can fit around your lifestyle and personal circumstances.
We have a wide range of roles available, including:
• Volunteer Youth Worker
• Volunteer Music Youth Worker
• Volunteer Media Youth Worker
• Volunteer Wellbeing & Inclusion Youth Worker
• Volunteer Sports Youth Worker
• Volunteer Performance Arts Youth Worker
• Volunteer Reception Volunteer
• Volunteer Catering & Tuckshop Volunteer
• Volunteer Arts & Crafts Youth Worker
Volunteering is a great way to gain valuable experience, build new skills and increase your confidence. Many volunteers use their experience to strengthen job applications, education applications, CVs and interview responses, while others volunteer simply to stay active, learn something new and make a positive difference in the lives of young people.
You'll have the opportunity to develop transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, organisation and relationship-building. Along the way, you'll meet like-minded people, become part of a supportive team and help create opportunities that enable young people to thrive.
For local residents, volunteering can also be a fantastic way to connect with your community, share your skills and experiences, and contribute to something meaningful close to home. Whether you have professional expertise to offer or simply a passion for helping others, there is a place for you on our volunteer team.

We welcome volunteers who bring a range of skills, experiences, qualifications and interests, whether gained through work, education, hobbies or life experience. You may already have expertise in areas such as sports, music, arts, media, administration, catering or working with people, and we encourage you to share these talents with our young people. However, you do not need specialist qualifications or previous experience to get involved. What matters most is a genuine interest in supporting young people and a motivation to help them grow, develop and achieve their potential. We provide training, guidance and ongoing support to help you build your confidence and learn new skills along the way. Volunteering is a two-way experience. While your knowledge, experience and enthusiasm can make a real difference to young people's lives, you'll also gain valuable skills, personal development opportunities and experiences that can support future employment, education or other life goals.
