Volunteer Creative and Communications Assistant

Help Jak’s World share its work with the community. We’re looking for a volunteer who enjoys creating clear, welcoming materials and can help keep our website up to date.

You could help us:

Update website pages with information about our activities and events.
Create posters and social media graphics.
Design welcome packs for people accessing our support.
Create fundraising materials for events and campaigns.

You don’t need to be an expert in everything. We’d love to hear from you if you’re confident using tools such as Canva, have a good eye for clear design, and care about making information accessible. We’ll agree on tasks that suit your skills and availability, and a member of the Jak’s World team will review materials before they’re published.

Skills and qualifications that may be needed or developed:

No formal qualifications are required. You might be studying IT, design, marketing or communications; have experience in administration; or have created materials for another charity or community group. You may simply enjoy making posters and keeping information clear and up to date.

We’re looking for someone who is creative, reliable and comfortable using digital tools. Experience with Canva or editing a website would be helpful, but we can talk through which tasks suit your skills. You’ll need good attention to detail, respect for confidentiality and the ability to take feedback before materials are published.

We’d especially welcome someone who can make a regular commitment and meet agreed deadlines.
