We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to be part of something truly special as Salford celebrates its centenary year – and we’d love you to join us!
Introducing The Paper Party! A vibrant, city-wide art project led by artist Emma Martin and a team of young creatives from St Paul’s Peel Primary School. Thousands of children across Salford will be creating personalised “gift boxes,” each filled with their hopes and ideas for the future of our city.
These wonderful creations will come together in a colourful exhibition takeover at Salford Museum and Art Gallery – and we need your help to make it happen!
Whether you can spare a day or more, your support will help bring this joyful community project to life:

Exhibition Setup
Help unpack and display the children’s artwork across the museum.
🍰 Cake provided!
📅 Saturday 18th July (9:30am – 4:30pm)
Takeover Event – Day 1
Welcome families, help children find their artwork, and keep the displays looking fantastic.
🎉 Enjoy a lively, party atmosphere – with cake!
📅 Sunday 19th July (9:30am – 4:30pm)
Takeover Event – Day 2
Support another day of celebration, creativity, and community pride.
🎉 And yes… more cake!

Exhibition Take-Down
