National Emergency Briefing Film Screening
Colleagues are invited to a screening on Friday October 2nd at 9.30am in the Salford Suite followed by a discussion on the impacts of climate change to the delivery of our services. Climate change is a strategic risk to service delivery, workforce wellbeing, community resilience and financial sustainability. Addressing it is essential to protecting residents today and ensuring Salford remains a safe, healthy and prosperous city in the future. It would be beneficial to have representatives from a wide range of services.

Further Screenings:
Extending the conversations beyond the SCC and 'green bubble' is a vital part of the work of the Climate Action board. The film on Friday Oct 2nd is a great opportunity to see how the film lands and how others can be encouraged to see the film.
There are several other screenings as follows:
- October 6th at MediaCity for the creative and media sector so any help with contacts you might have would be appreciated
- October 23rd X & Why Embankment - this is part of the 'Manchester Season'
- November 1st Copthorne Hotel a community wide screening please cast far and wide to your VCSE and residents networks
There is also a construction sector screening planned with Build Salford and partners.
