Organisation description: Aims
To promote and provide social, recreational and educational activities and facilities for the partially sighted people of Eccles, Barton, Winton and surrounding areas in Salford.
To provide a non-judgemental environment to socialise with an emphasis on having fun.
To share skills and good practice amongst each other.
To strengthen community spirit by providing support to local people.
To encourage a greater volunteer participation for the benefit of the wider community.
To promote equal opportunities within the local community.
To promote social inclusion.
Activities of the Group
Social get together for holding quizzes and joining in games for partially sighted people, along with volunteers.
Producing and circulating newsletters, posters and flyers to promote this and other Group’s activities, which will benefit the community.
Actively involve all interested parties, to organise and arrange a series of fundraising activities.
