Organisation description: Vesta - Specialist Family Support CIC offer specialist support to Polish families in England and Wales affected by domestic abuse, parenting issues and poor mental health. Our organisation has supported Polish people for the past five years. Initially, we operated as a charity – Polish Domestic Violence Helpline and changed to a community interest company - Vesta SFS CIC in 2018.
Our overall aim is to empower Polish families in creating a safe and nurturing family environment, where people can have healthy relationships with each other.
Our services include:
- Comprehensive assessments of victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse
- Domestic abuse awareness and recovery programmes for Polish women
- One-to-one support sessions with Polish perpetrators of domestic abuse
- Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Parenting courses and one-to-one support for parents
- Training for professionals about working with Polish families
- Resources for professionals and the wider community
