Organisation description: The Bridgewater Foundation Salford is a community-focused organisation rooted in the heart of Salford. Our mission is to support local families and strengthen connections across the wider community. By working closely with other community groups, we’re able to reach more households and offer help where it’s needed most.
We regularly host events where our clients, supporters, and local residents come together to give back—donating Easter eggs, Christmas gifts, toiletries, food items, and other essentials that help families throughout the year.
Following our recent merger with Salford Step Into Action, we now operate a thriving community hub in Walkden. This welcoming space hosts a range of support services, including craft groups, playgroups, wellbeing sessions, and our weekly food club.
To further support local families, we run both an online community shop and a physical store stocked with everything from baby bottles to wardrobes and beds—all at genuinely affordable prices.
Every penny we raise goes directly back into supporting our community work, ensuring we can continue providing vital services and making a positive difference across Salford.
