Its primary aims and objectives include:
Promoting Social Inclusion: The charity works to prevent people from becoming socially excluded and assists those who are already excluded—due to factors like unemployment, financial hardship, or discrimination—to integrate back into society.
Developing Skills and Capacity: PWE aims to build the skills and confidence of members of socially and economically disadvantaged communities, particularly among migrants, BME (Black, Minority, and Ethnic) groups, and deprived populations.
Improving Health and Wellbeing: A core objective is to promote physical fitness and mental health through wellness checks, emotional support, and organized activities like "walk exercises" or "laughter therapy" to reduce stress and isolation.
Eradicating Poverty and Hunger: The charity operates initiatives such as the Dorcas Food Bag, which provides healthy food to individuals with low income, no recourse to public funds (NRPF), or those experiencing homelessness.
Ending Gender-Based Violence (GBV): PWE advocates for the safety of women and girls, participating in global movements like the "16 Days of Activism" to promote safer communities and involve men as allies in ending violence.
Advocacy and Information: Providing services, advocacy, and advice to help individuals make informed choices about their rights, education, and general livelihoods.
