Hours: This is a flexible part-time role currently of 20 hours per week including 2 Sunday mornings per month and with a view to developing some after-school activities and occasional one-off events. The work will be based at the Church – Elms St, Whitefield, Manchester M45 8GQ Salary: £14K-£15K depending on experience. The Methodist Church are a Living Wage EmployerThe job will be offered as a three-year fixed-term contract. This may be extended subject to funding. There is a genuine Occupational Requirement for the holder of this post to be a Christian (under the GOR regulations specified in the Employment Equality Regulations 2003) and who will be in sympathy with the values and beliefs of the Methodist Church.

We anticipate an average of about 15 hours per month; this will vary from 10 hours a month in the quiet season to 15-25 hours per month during our busiest season (March – October). The hours will be based on the need of the project and must form an average of no more than 15 per month across the year. This is a self-employed role on an ad hoc basis.

This is a part time role and the actual salary is £16,398. The ful time equivalent (FTE) salary is £27,330 (Boaz Band E, Point 9).
The post is for 2 to 3 days / 14 to 21 hours a week, so the salary is pro rata based on the full-time rate of £39,963. Salaries are normally uprated annually (from April) at least in line with inflation.
