Live Well Cancer Micro Fund

About the fund

The Live Well Cancer Micro Fund is a new fund that aims to improve cancer-related health outcomes for people in Salford. We are looking to fund projects that raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer, encourage people to seek help early, and support people affected by cancer within their communities.

Grants of up to £500 are available to adapt or expand existing activities. Grants of up to £1,000 are available to develop and run new activities. We are particularly interested in projects that raise awareness of the following cancers:

  • Upper GI Cancer

  • Cervical Cancer

  • Lung Cancer

  • Bowel Cancer

Applications focusing on other cancer types will also be considered where they clearly meet the aims of the fund.

Your project must address Priority A and at least one additional Priority (B-D)

Priority A: Increasing awareness of signs and symptoms of cancer

Priority B: Increasing knowledge and confidence of communities to seek help and access support

Priority C: Reducing barriers to engagement with primary care and support services

Priority D:  Adapting or creating activities that support people living with cancer and their families

The Live Well Cancer Micro Fund is open to voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) groups and organisations operating in Salford for the benefit of Salford residents and is supported by NHS Greater Manchester (Salford) and the GM Cancer Alliance.
