Volunteer Opportunities

Macmillan Solutions volunteers support individuals and families affected by cancer. Macmillan Solutions volunteers are vital to the success of the project. They provide services to people affected by cancer in their own home and can be called upon to perform a wide variety of tasks, both practical and emotional Because the Solutions Project aims to provide needs identified by those it supports, there is no specific list of activities, they are likely to be one of the following:
• Practical support – eg gardening, dog walking, cleaning, shopping, transport to appointments etc
• Befriending – a ‘listening ear’ or buddy, telephone support
