Opportunity hosted by: Salford Loaves and Fishes
Description:

Salford Loaves and Fishes is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee, set up in 2006 to serve the homeless and vulnerable people of the City of Salford and surrounding area and built upon thirty years’ experience as the Cathedral Centre, Diocese of Salford. We seek to support the integration of homeless and vulnerable people into mainstream life through the work of the centre, providing meals, clothes, laundry, showers, activities and advice. We have ten paid staff and 24 active volunteers, not including our trustees.

The Board of Trustees oversees the financial viability, management and strategic development of the centre which currently opens for all services on three days a week - and fourth and fifth day for staff development, courses, planned meetings and client activity groups. The Trustees who are also directors meet every other month and are also expected to attend an annual AGM. We currently have 11 active trustees, some of whom are planning retirement from their role. We would like to appoint enthusiastic people while the retirees are still in post to allow continuity.
