Volunteer Opportunities

Would you like to support local families, learn new skills, and become a valued part of a friendly, welcoming team?
Join our welcoming Family Hub Volunteering Team and be part of something truly special! We’re looking for friendly, supportive volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of local families—while also gaining valuable experience and having fun along the way.
As a volunteer, you’ll help out with Chat, Play, Read sessions delivered by Salford City Council, which support parents and carers to help their little ones develop early speech and language skills. By creating a warm and welcoming space, these sessions help families feel connected and supported—and your involvement will make a real difference.

We welcome people from all backgrounds—whether you're a student exploring a career in early years, someone looking to return to work, or simply passionate about your community and supporting families..
