Opportunity hosted by: Home-Start Trafford, Salford & Wigan
Description:

At the heart of our charity is the belief that parents have a key role in creating a secure and happy environment for their children. Sometimes parents need a bit of help, which is where Home-Start comes in. Our families are regularly supported by our trained volunteers; all have had experience of parenting and appreciate how hard it can be. Home-Start Trafford, Salford, Wigan (HSTSW) work closely with existing family services in the Borough of Trafford, Wigan and Leigh and the City of Salford.

If you live in Salford, have experience of breastfeeding your baby for at least 12 weeks, and are interested in an exciting volunteer opportunity to support parents to breastfeed, we would really like to hear from you.

The role involves providing evidence based breastfeeding peer support to new parents via support groups, telephone calls or home visits.

Why volunteer with us:
- As a volunteer, you will receive great satisfaction in supporting families to achieve their feeding goals and also:
- you will be part of the Salford Infant Feeding Peer Support Service family, get to know other volunteers and form new friendships.
- You will be a part of the wider Home-Start Trafford Salford & Wigan volunteer team in providing valuable peer to peer support to help new parents start their parenting journey in the best way they can.
- You will receive out of pocket expenses

If you're ready to get involved, learn something new, and help support parents—we’d love to welcome you to the team!
