Volunteer Opportunities
Eccles Community Hall Organisation, Administration Volunteers
All volunteer roles can be adapted to suit individual preferences, and all entail social contact with other volunteers and the public. Volunteering with ECHO supports a wide variety of events breathing life into Eccles and the wider community of Salford.
Treasurer
Responsible for ECHO bank account; issuing invoices; paying suppliers; providing cash floats; administering the card payment system; annual financial statements and audits.
Secretary
General secretarial support for the smooth running of Eccles Community Hall. For example: producing minutes of ECHO meetings; interacting with regulatory authorities (e.g. Charity Commission; Salford City Council Premises Licencing; Music Performance Licence); paperwork for insurance.
Hospitality Team Manager (Leader?)
Oversee the running of the kitchen, café and bar including timely procurement of stock items.
Manages the Event Hospitality Team including training.
Ensures compliance with the Food Standards Agency.
Publicity Manager (Leader?)
Manages printing and distribution of posters and fliers; creates advertising if necessary; ECHO website; email lists; media liaison.

No formal qualifications are required, and any skills relevant to the role will be much appreciated. Training will be given where necessary.
