Volunteer Opportunities
This role will involve:
Corporate Outreach and Relationship building: Engaging with local businesses, community groups and schools to discuss partnerships or sponsorship opportunities. This may involve pairing and delivering presentations about the charities work and impact.
Event Support: Assisting with the planning, logistics and on-the-day delivery of fundraising events (e.g. sponsored walks, galas, street collections).
Promotions and Marketing: Helping to create and distribute promotional materials, such as posters, social media content and thank-you messages, to raise awareness of campaigns and events.
Community Engagement: Acting as a charity ambassador to the local community, sharing inspiring stories and information about how donations make a difference to motivate others to get involved and fundraise.
Administrating and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of donor and sponsor contact information, assisting with donation recording and providing feedback on activity to the fundraising manager.
Identifying New Opportunities: Proactively researching and identifying new potential sponsors, grants or fundraising initiatives.
This role is a great way to develop skills in marketing, fundraising and event management, while making a tangible impact on the lives of people experiencing homelessness.

Communication Skills: Confidence in talking to new people, public speaking and building relationships.
Organisational Skills: The ability to plan, coordinate and manage various tasks and events effectively.

Passion for the Cause: A genuine commitment to ending homelessness and a non-judgemental, patient and friendly approach when representing the charity.
IT Literacy: Competence in using computers and basic software for administration and marketing tasks.
