We Invented The Weekend 2026, it will take place across MediaCity and Salford Quays on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June. It is a large, free cultural festival celebrating all the ways people spend their weekend. To help make this vibrant event happen, we are recruiting volunteers to support a wide range of activities across the festival site.
As a volunteer, you will be part of a friendly team helping visitors feel welcome, supporting performers and activities, and ensuring the festival runs smoothly. There are a variety of roles available to suit different interests, skills, and levels of experience.
The main purpose of the WITW volunteer team is to:
• Welcome visitors and help them enjoy their festival experience
• Support the delivery of activities, performances, and behind-the-scenes operations
• Promote the festival atmosphere by being an enthusiastic and helpful presence
• Assist with festival logistics, information sharing, and evaluation
