Description:

We are looking for a few practical volunteers to help us refresh parts of our learning hub used by local children. Tasks will include simple decorating and small improvement jobs such as painting hallway and bathroom walls, filling small holes with filler, repainting skirting boards, and re-sealing or caulking where needed.

These improvements will help us create a brighter, welcoming space for children attending our creative learning sessions.

All tools and materials will be provided, and refreshments will be available.

Skills and qualifications that may be needed or developed:

We are ideally looking for volunteers who have experience with painting and decorating, or who are confident carrying out DIY tasks to a good standard. Experience such as preparing walls, filling small holes, painting walls and woodwork, and applying sealant or caulk would be very helpful.

Someone who has previously worked in painting, decorating, maintenance, or general DIY would be particularly welcome. However, anyone who is practical, takes pride in their work, and is happy to help improve a space used by children is encouraged to apply.
