Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers will support the delivery of Early Years 0–5 learning sessions for parents, carers, and young children. They will help create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment where families feel included and supported.
They will assist with setting up and tidying the space, welcoming families as they arrive, and encouraging participation in play-based learning activities. Volunteers may support children during stay-and-play activities such as reading, singing, crafts, and early communication games. They will also help parents engage with their children by modelling simple play and learning ideas.
Volunteers will work alongside session leaders to support positive behaviour, promote inclusion, and ensure all families feel comfortable and valued. They may also help with refreshments, registration, and general organisation of the session.
Through their support, volunteers will help children develop early communication, social, and emotional skills, while also building parents’ confidence in supporting their child’s learning at home. Their contribution will make a real difference by strengthening early development, encouraging school readiness, and creating a friendly community space where families can connect and learn together.
