Enterprise Start-Up Grants

Little Hulton Big Local offers small amounts of funding for individuals to try out their business ideas in the Little Hulton area.

You can apply for up to £500 to support you to develop your business idea.

The aims of Little Hulton Big Local Enterprise Grants are:

  • To encourage and reward enterprise and entrepreneurship
  • To support individuals setting up a business with their personal survival plan 
  • To create an opportunity to develop relationships with local residents seeking to establish businesses and develop a greater understanding of their needs.

Little Hulton Big Local offers funding of up to £5000 for individuals/organisations to grow and scale up their business in the Little Hulton area.

The aims of Little Hulton Big Local Enterprise Grants are:

  • To encourage and reward enterprise and entrepreneurship
  • To support individuals setting up a business with their personal survival plan 
  • To create an opportunity to develop relationships with local residents who are seeking to establish a business and develop a greater understanding of their needs

Employment and Training Grants

Grants must directly benefit the community of the Little Hulton Big Local Area.

This is a rolling grants programme open until the 30th September 2018

Little Hulton Big Local aims to fund a range of activities that enable Little Hulton residents to participate in training and to improve their opportunities to access employment or access an increased range of employment opportunities.

Decisions will be made at our monthly Little Hulton Big Local Board meetings which take place on the first Monday of each month. For your application to be considered by the Board, applications must be received two weeks prior to the Board meeting i.e. the 15th of the month.

What we are looking to fund

  • A range of activities including employability training, mentoring and crèche support.
  • Activities that are relevant to Little Hulton residents aged 18 -24 years.
  • Activities taking place between 15th January – 31st August 2018.

Small Grants - 2018

Grants must directly benefit the community of the Little Hulton Big Local area. Organisations seeking funding must involve residents in the management, planning or delivery of the activity you are seeking funding for.

We will be accepting applications between 12th February 2018 and 30th July 2018 – noon deadline.

Priority will be given to new groups, new initiatives and groups who have not had a Big Local grant previously.

Groups with an income of £100,000 plus will not be eligible for funding.

Decisions will be made at our Little Hulton Big Local Board Meetings. For your application to be considered by the Board it must be received the week prior to the Board meeting.   

What we are looking to fund:

  • Community activities and services for people living in the Little Hulton Big Local area
  • Activities that positively make a difference to the community of Little Hulton
  • Activities that will be taking place between 12th March 2018 – 31st August 2018
  • The maximum grant is £500 per group plus £250 extra if you can demonstrate your activity or service meets the following priorities:
  • Older people and intergenerational activities
  • The environment
  • Activities that support people’s mental health, wellbeing and happiness
