Q: Do the Chairs of the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Boards receive any remuneration, allowance, honorarium or expenses beyond reimbursement of actual costs?
A: The Chair of the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board in Pendleton does not receive any remuneration, allowance, or honorarium. The Chair will be encouraged to claim out-of-pocket expenses, which is seen as best practice in the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector.
Q: If an organisation has a representative on the Neighbourhood Board, can it still receive Pride in Place funding?
A: Yes. Any conflicts of interest will be managed in line with standard governance processes. Board members will be required to declare any relevant interests and will not take part in discussions or decisions relating to their own organisation.
Q: Can funding only be spent within the neighbourhood’s designated boundary?
A: Not necessarily. Funding can be used to support activity or organisations outside the boundary where this clearly benefits residents within the neighbourhood. This may include services or provision that have a significant impact on the local community.
