S3SC Past Delivery and Contracts

Salford Community Learning Programme

Salford Third Sector Consortium delivered a three-year programme of community learning funded by Salford City College via the Education and Skills Funding Agency. June 2017 saw the conclusion of the community learning programme delivery but until that point, 13 members continued to receive funding through the programme (Binoh, Broughton Trust, Corinth Training CiC, Community Social Inclusion Network, Europia, Faith Inter Training Ltd Society, Hershel Weiss Children and Family Centre, Inspiring Communities Together, MadLab, Start in Salford, TDB Partnership CiC, THOMAS and Wai Yin Society). In the final year of the programme, S3SC reached over 3000 participants in the programme and provided over 300 non-accredited learning courses across the city.

"I have been able to grow my confidence when working with people. The course has allowed me to work with others" (Community Learning Participant)

Lunch and Learn

Lunch and Learn was a small scale programme funded in 2017 through Salford CCG and Salford CVS Little Pot of Health Programme..As a result of the funding, we delivered four “Lunch and Learn” events for East Salford residents aged over 55 and their carers each facilitated and hosted by our members Inspiring Communities Together (ICT) and St Sebastian's Community Centre.  66 participants took part who were over 55 and a mix of people living independently and those living in sheltered housing. In total 10 organisations contributed to the programme by supporting and facilitating sessions.

Awards for All Membership Support Programme

In 2017 S3SC received a small grant from the National Lottery Awards for All Programme to support its membership offer. Thanks to this funding we strengthen our communications but also supported 26 member organisations who attended networking sessions and events held by the consortium.  Also, 20 individuals from 15 organisations attended training on the Salford Adult Safeguarding Standards.
