In response to the CQC Inspection: Supporting improvement in Salford

In response to today’s CQC Inspection Report Alison Page, Chief Executive of Salford CVS, the city’s support organisation for the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector in Salford, said:

“Salford CVS are actively supporting Salford City Council in their Adult Social Care Improvement programme work as an active member of the city’s ASC Improvement Board, working with the Adult Social Care team to deliver the changes that are needed.

Practically, this involves working with senior managers to deliver improvements to the ’Waiting Well’ approach, including developing a brand new social prescribing offer as part of the city’s successful ‘Wellbeing Matters’ VCSE partnership.

The wider VCSE sector in Salford is also heavily involved in testing a model for accessing Adult Social Care support in local community venues (currently at CommUNITY Little Hulton and Langworthy Cornerstone and due to be extended across the city over the coming months).

Salford CVS are committed to supporting our partners across the city on this improvement journey in order to ensure our city’s residents have the services and solutions they need to be able to Live Well”
