Be part of Pride in Place
Pendleton has been given £20 million in government funding to be spent over the next ten years – and local people will decide how the money’s spent.
Have you got any ideas? We are looking for residents, people who work locally, and anyone with a strong connection to the area to apply to join the neighbourhood Board. Help shape the future of your neighbourhood - get involved.
The neighbourhood Board works in close partnership with local residents, Salford City Council, and Rebecca Long‑Bailey MP, who plays an active role in working with partners to help shape priorities and support the delivery of the Pride in Place Programme in Pendleton.
Become a Board Member - deadline 5pm Sunday 31st May 2026
If you live or work in Pendleton and want to help shape the future of your neighbourhood, you can join the Board. You can apply if you:
- Live locally
- Work locally
- Or have strong ties to the area
How to apply
No experience is needed — just enthusiasm and a few hours each month. Expenses are covered. To find out more about the Board member role download the Board Member profile.
To apply please download and complete the short application form below and send it to: PendletonPIP@salfordcvs.co.uk
Alternative option (Board member applications only): Apply by recording a short film on your phone
To make the application process more accessible, you can submit your application as a film recording instead of completing the written form.
Your film should answer these questions:
- What is your name and address?
- What role are you applying for?
- How long have you lived or worked in the area, or what are your ties to the area?
- What experience and skills will you bring to the role?
- What are your hopes for the future of the area?
- How will you ensure residents’ voices are heard?
- If you could improve one thing about our community right now, what would it be and how might it be done?
Your film should be no longer than five minutes in total. You do not need perfect production quality - just clear audio. You may pause between questions, and you may submit your film as one continuous clip or short clips combined.
Please send your film via WhatsApp to Kate on 07442 423988.
If your film is large, please attach it using the Document option rather than ‘photo/film’, as WhatsApp supports files up to 2GB when sent this way.
Deadline: 5pm on Sunday 31st May 2026
Informal interviews will be held on Thursday 25th June 2026
Any questions please email: communications@salfordcvs.co.uk
