As part of our Safeguarding Development offer, our Safeguarding Development Worker can support your organisation with Adult and Child Safeguarding policies and risk assessments.
We can support new organisations with Salford-specific template policies for you to edit so that they reflect the work you do and your workforce. Liz, our Safeguarding Development Worker, will usually have a phone call or Teams meeting with you so that she understands the work that you do and can, therefore, advise you on what your policy needs to include.
We can also support you to review an existing policy to make sure it still meets the current legislation and best practice. We recently updated our Adult Safeguarding template to reflect the updated process for Persons in a Position of Trust process from Salford Safeguarding Adults Board.
We have supported over 54 organisations with their Adult and Child Safeguarding policies since the last Adult Safeguarding Week in November 2024. Recently we supported Salford Talking News, who provide audio news resources for blind and visually impaired people, with their Adult Safeguarding policy. Their trustees said, “Having support with writing our safeguarding policy has made a big difference - it not only ensured we met all the necessary legal and best practice standards but also gave us the confidence that our approach is clear, practical and tailored to our setting."
