2 x Holding Families Coordinators (Salford or Trafford)

Holding Families is an evidence-based programme that works with the whole family. This is an exciting opportunity for a suitable candidate whose can demonstrate strong co-ordination and leadership skills. We require an experienced individual who is able to work with the whole family and children who are primarily affected by parental drug and alcohol misuse 

This will include one to one sessions, group work and family meetings. This role will also involve linking with a range of agencies, who will contribute to meeting the identified needs of children and families. 

Key deliverables 

  • To co-ordinate roll-out of the Holding Families multi-agency working model with families in line with a structured timescale agreed with funders
  • To promote and champion the Holding Families model and its benefits with partner agencies
  • To ensure the Safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children within case work
  • To oversee and co-ordinate student placements that will support the delivery of Holding Families in line with agreed protocols
  • To undertake assessment, planning and review for a complex client case load of Holding Families clients – approx. 15 families
  • Deliver the group work element of the Holding Families offer
  • To provide education/information/training sessions, as appropriate
  • To ensure that all necessary administration, recording and reporting is undertaken to specified deadlines
  • To work with Senior Managers in developing and reviewing the Holding Families model to future proof the offer
  • To maintain a strong awareness of the issues and best practice related to parental substance misuse and effects on families
  • To support peer mentoring and volunteers linked to the Holding Families offer as and when required
