We are looking to recruit a Resettlement Worker to be involved in setting up a new project within our well-established services in Collyhurst and across the Diocese of Salford. The Caritas Resettlement Worker will provide support to volunteer groups to resettle families through resettlement schemes, and this role has funding for five years.
The Resettlement Worker will promote Communities for Afghans and Community Sponsorship programmes to recruit and empower volunteer groups and refugee families. You will support the needs of refugee families and people seeking asylum through transition and arrival to the UK, working in conjunction with partners and referral agencies, advocating for safe resettlement pathways for refugees.
You will understand trauma-informed care and work within a strengths-based approach, communicating effectively on a wide range of subjects with individuals and groups. Additionally, you will have experience of working with refugees and people seeking asylum, have excellent time management, IT and administration skills.
The hours of the role are 22.5 per week (to a maximum of 30 hours per week dependent on experience), working between Monday to Friday, flexibility will be required to meet the needs of volunteer groups and settled families.
The start date for this role would be in January 2026.
